Kauvery Events Organisers is a Jammu-based event planning team, working since 1998, that plans weddings, destination weddings, birthdays, engagements and family functions across ten cities in North India, Rajasthan and Goa. There is no fixed package: you tell us the event, guests and venue, and we quote item by item.
In the beginning it was only decoration, and that’s still the work we enjoy most, since our stages and props get made in our own workshop. But families kept asking us to also see the caterer, talk to the DJ and handle the timings, so event planning became a proper part of what we do.

What Does an Event Planner Do?
In most Indian functions, someone from the family ends up running around the whole day, calling the tent wala, checking if the cake has come, telling the photographer which aunty to click. An event coordinator does that job so your family doesn’t have to.
As your event organizer, we work out the theme and colours, make a budget you can actually follow, and book caterers, photographers, DJs and florists. We tell each vendor what time to come and what is needed from them. The stage, entrance and lights are made by our own team. We plan where guests sit, where the food counters go and how people enter. And on the day, if the baraat gets late or something is missing, we’re the ones fixing it.

Engagements
Roka, sagai, ring ceremony. The guest list is smaller, but everyone still wants a nice stage and good photos. We plan for both, including stage décor.
Family Functions
Anniversaries, griha pravesh, naamkaran, small get-togethers. We also do anniversary décor and pooja and mandir decoration.

How Much Do Event Planning Services Cost?
Event planning companies mostly charge in one of two ways. A few take a percentage of the total budget. Others keep a flat planning fee, no matter how much you spend on vendors.
Your cost mainly depends on how many functions there are, how many guests, the venue size, what flowers you want and which month it is. In the wedding season, flower rates go up quite a bit. For destination events, travel gets added. A birthday at home and a three-day wedding in a hotel will cost very differently.
Our approach: we don’t push a package that doesn’t fit your event. Share your plan and budget, and we’ll send a quote with every item written. You pay only after you agree.

What does an event planner do?
An event planner looks after your event from the first meeting till the venue is cleared. Theme, budget, vendors, décor, seating, the timings on the day, all of it. Your family talks to one person instead of ten different vendors, and that takes away most of the tension.
How much do event planning services cost?
It depends on the number of functions, guests, the venue, flowers and the season. Some planners take a percentage of the budget, some charge a flat fee. We send you an itemised quote once we understand your event, and you approve it before paying anything.
Planner vs decorator: which do I need?
If your caterer, photographer and other vendors are already booked, a decorator should be enough. If you want one team handling vendors, budget, timings and décor together, go for a planner. Some families take only décor first and add planning later.
Do you plan birthday parties too?

How early should I book an event planner?
For a wedding in peak season, try to book three to six months before, because good vendors and flowers get taken early. For birthdays, engagements and smaller functions, two to four weeks is usually fine. Just call us once your date and venue are final.
Can you work within a fixed budget?
Yes. In fact it’s better if you tell us the budget at the start. We usually suggest spending more on the stage and entrance, because that’s where everyone looks, and keeping the rest simple. You’ll see the full quote before anything gets booked.
